Summary
As a member of the store’s Management Team, the Department Manager contributes to the success of the store by communicating the business objectives of the store to his/her team. The Department Manager is responsible for managing and leading the department in providing high quality workmanship and service that ensures customer satisfaction. He/she ensures that the department team of 4-6 employees consistently meets performance expectations in terms of customer experience, sales growth, retail execution and profitability.
Responsibilities and Tasks
The Seasonal Manager will be specifically responsible for the staff of the downstairs seasonal department (excluding live goods and lawn & garden).
In addition, this role includes the responsibility of being a Duty Manager. This means being the on-call manager on the floor during shifts with both Opening and Closing duties. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in learning the ropes in multiple departments, including Logistics, to better handle any issues that arise during a shift.
